Sonigistix started at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, BC, Canada. The company later moved to a facility in Richmond, BC. The planar-magnetic transducers were manufactured here, although other components of the systems were produced in the United States and in Asia.

Sonigistix also had branch offices in Detroit and Arkansas.
